Bioanalytical and Biomedical Engineering Research
Our projects are multi-disciplinary in nature involving nano and bio engineering, surface chemistry, biology, biophysics, bioanalytical, and material science. We are addressing important societal problems aimed at developing antifouling biomedical sensors for direct biofluid/liquid biopsy analysis and low-cost biopharmaceutical technologies.
1. Non-invasive/minimally invasive hyphenated colorimetric, electrochemical, and surface plasmon imaging diagnostic arrays for large and small molecule biomarkers.
2. Liver microsomal electrocatalysis for prodrug bioassays, niche bioelectronic devices, and biosensors.
3. Microarrays for cancer protein-protein interactions and small molecule drug development with binding and inhibition insights.
We are grateful for research funding support from the following agencies/organizations.
